About Me

A photographer, proudly born and raised in Northumberland, and now based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Ever since the purchase of my Fujifilm X100 a number of years ago I have been captivated by the process of taking and making photographs. As all good Fuji geeks do I focused primarily on street and documentary photography and loved every minute of it.

I was influenced by the Humans Of New York series by Brandon Stanton, which opened to door to Cartier-Bresson, Joel Meyerowitz, Martin Parr,  Robert Capa and

Daidō Moriyama amongst others.

Influenced as I was, I lacked the confidence to engage with my subjects in a deeper way.

This all changed after attending a workshop with a wonderful photographer and teacher named Jeremy Abrahams. His series on immigration, Arrivals: Tyneside, truly inspired me and sparked a new creative drive to also explore portrait photography and environmental portraiture in particular.

I have number of projects planned and I’m always playing with new ideas. If you would like to collaborate with me, in any capacity, please get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.
